Google developers have finally got a chance to test the new features in the iPhone 2.2 update, and Street View is the most promising product yet. Other devices such as T-Mobile G1, Blackberry Devices & even Windows Mobile users are already enjoying the benefits of Street View.

iPhone users appear to be receiving a complete overhaul of the Google Maps interface, so that users can use Street View for map-directions, mass transit information, walking or driving directions.  The most useful feature included is the small window that shows the user their current position within the 3D Maps perspective.

So look forward to some welcome updates when the new iPhone software is released, and you will be able to join other smart phone users in the Google Street View world.
